Vacation

After our maintenance break in Visalia we will be headed to Utah to meet up with our son Jerry and his family. We will spend the month of July in Utah where we will explore the beautiful Paiute Trail. We will head East via Colorado and I-70 where we will visit our other son JJ and his family in their new home in Colorado. We're looking forward to our summer travels.

District Office in Visalia

I always wave as we go through Sacramento and say hi to Sam, my former Chief of Staff, while working for the 34th Assembly District. I just couldn't resist and had to pick up the phone to catch up on old times!! It's always fun to hear the latest gossip. Good luck on your new job too, Sam!! (Who is also working for a new Assembly Member). My how things can change so quickly. While in Visalia, I had lunch with several of my friends and colleages. Norma, who is still working for the 34th Assembly District, as always, had lots to say and so much fun. Since I'm now retired she even bought lunch as she did so often while working with her. She is the only original staff member as we have all moved on. We had a great team!

Cabin Fever

We took a drive to Three Rivers this particular day. On the way we stopped to take pictures of the hospital Jerry was born, Woodlake Hospital in Woodlake, CA. The hospital is now being used as medical clinic. Also, we stopped at Lake Succes to take pictures of the marina. His first job was working as a lake patrol of this lake. Our last stop for the day was at the Historial Museum in Three Rivers which has been there for years.

New Carpet & Central Vac

Our motorhome was in dire need of new carpet...Perfecto carpet was recommended so we gave them a call. So glad we did, as they did a beautiful job. Just about every new motorhome leaves the factory with very light carpet and it shows everything. Although much darker it is a much better quality carpet and hopefully won't show the traffic wear and tear. But of course new carpet needs a new central vac!!!
