Rhyolite National Historic Site

The largest ghost town in Death Valley. It was the third larget city in Nevada by 1908. And the population reached approximately 10,000 in the city during its peak between 1905-1911. Many ruins remain today. The jail still remains with steel doors and barred windows. There is also a two room brothel house approximately 50 feet from the jail. The Tonopah Railroad Depot was completed in 1909 and is still standing today.
