Dantes View
One of our day trips to Dantes View, in Death Valley. Dantes View was several hundred feet high and overlooked Death Valley mountains. The mountains change continuously. The huge block of earth crust that is slowly tilting away. Its fard edge is the rising crest of the Panamint Range mountains under they are moving to the left as well as rising. The eroding mountains fill the valley at the same rate it sinks. This fault block basis we call Death Valley has no outlet to the sea minerals washed down from the mountains are there to stay. Quite a view!!!

Son and Daughter-in-law from Washington State
My son, Paul and his wife, Lisa, surprised us by flying from Washington state to Las Vegas to celebrate their 10th wedding anniversary. This is the first time they have gone anywhere without taking their 3 boys. They thought it was time to get away for an anniverary. We had dinner with them and our son Jerry and his family the night they left. It was great to see them. They loved Las Vegas and enjoyed the shows. After dinner we walked around the Bass Pro Shop. They have a beautiful aquarium with sea divers. They were fasinating to watch as they so graciously swam through the aquarium.

Christmas Dinner at Montaro Meadows
During the Christmas holidays we went to Montaro Meadows Retirement Home and the family put on a Christmas party for the residents. My brother playe Santa and I played Christmas music on the old piano, Jerry took over 100 pictures of the residents with Santa. My sister-in-law played Mrs. Santa, and my brother Mark and David and son with their families sang. It was a big hit with the residents. One lady said she had never had her picture taken with Santa!! 87 years old!!!
