Mom's 80th Birthday

After several months of planning for Mom's 80th birthday, it was here and gone. She had asked for two things, and she got one of the two. Not bad! She wanted to have the Sweet Adelines sing for her and her friends. They graciously came and sang for her, and she was totally surprised, as she didn't think that would ever happen. The name of the group is the "Celebrity City Chorus", and also presented her with their autographs on a picture poster board. It was a wonderful surpise. We had dinner at the Olive Garden with her brother (on the one side and her sister on the other from Washington State and Oregon. It was hopefully a birthday she won't forget. Happy 80th Mom!

Jerry's 66th Birthday

He really hates to be reminded of his age. He's not into birthdays and parties, but I we had a nice dinner anyway with my brother and his wife and my son and his family at Olive Garden. He loves the spagetti there!! Happy Birthday, honey!!!

Specialty Playing Cards Just for Mom

Regular playing cards just don't have large enough letters to be
able to see if a person is legally blind!! Mom asked me to design some playing cards just for her, she is one of those people, and she loves to play cards and is not ready to give up quite yet! My sister and I enjoyed an afternoon playing cards with Mom. Before I left, she had many other suggestions for games for the low vision impaired. I can see I will be busy!!

Mt. Charleston

Mt. Charleston is approximately one hour from Las Vegas, and always so beautiful. Especially this time of year. We picked one of the busiest weekends of the year as there were hundreds of families enjoying the snow at Mt. Charleston.

Christmas Eve 2006 with Jerry & Kim & kids

It was a real pleasure to spend Christmas Eve with Jerry & Kim and Zach and Ashley. The kids could hardly wait to get dinner over with so the could open their presents.
They always have something going on in that household. Zach is in wrestling this year and doing so well in school. Keep up the good work Zach. Ashley is growing so fast and so much fun! Jerry's big project was really overwhelming, remodeling the master bathroom. I can see where Kim will be escaping to. Happy New Year to all of you!! Thank you for letting us share Christmas Eve with you!! We love you.
