Storm King Memorial Trail

We went on several days trips while visiting JJ & Amy. This particular site was the memorial for fourteen fire fighters who fought the largest fire, July 2007, in Colorado and ultimately lost their lives. They have dedicated this sight for visitors to pay their respects to each of the fire fighters. Several law enforcement and fire fighters have left one of their badges as a memorial to each of them.

Lunch in Vail, CO

We went to Vail, CO and stopped and had a picnic lunch at this beautiful park. One of the prettiest parks with a top of the arc playground as you can see. The kids, along with JJ and Amy had a lot of fun playing after being cooped up in the car for about three hours. Of course, it rained as soon as we got out of the car, but that didn't stop us we had our picnic lunch anyway. We drove through Vail and admired all the million dollars + homes. It doesn't hurt to dream!!

Boot City

While visiting Colorado, we visited a small town, Eagle, CO. Main street was lined with all american decorated boots. The streets were very wide with small shops all along the streets. I had Logan stand by his favorite boot so I could take a picture of him. The elevation was about 6,000 ft. Each day about the same time we had thunder and lightening and thunderstorms that lasted for about 10-15 minutes. The rain this time of year with the humidity was very refreshing.
