Labor Day weekend at Garrison's Canoe and Rafting is almost as busy as the first day the season opens. We waited to travel until after the weekend. It was interesting to see the buses head to the river every hour. It was a beautiful weekend for canoe and rafting. My sister fed over 1000 people that weekend. They were short their most valuable staff that weekend so everyone had to pitch in and work twice as hard. All lodging was filled and the buses were running all weekend. They have 6 mile, 10 mile, canoe rides, etc. all day until 4:00 pm and the diner opens at 6:00 for dinner. By then everyone is really hungry after river rafting all day. We we there the month of July and enjoyed our stay very much. If you are traveling and are looking for a nice park to stay at, we recommend you visit Garrison's Canoe Resort. It is a beautiful wooded campground and RV park, with over 160 hook-ups. The service is wonderful!! We will definitely make a return trip and stay there again.

Thank you for visiting us @ Garrison's Resort. We try to have a place where family can come have fun with everyone and feel safe. The river rides are easy enough for even small children. As you said, we have plenty of sites for everyone. If you come out and don't have a motorhome just call and make reservations for the lodging. We have for you 2 man cabins up to 20 people cabins.
The dinning hall is open all summer long. Hope to see family and friends in 2008 we open from April 15- October 15 . See you all again, come back you here!
