This is the kick off of the Fall Festival in Steelville, MO. Each year they start out with a gospel sing. For a small town they have a top notch theatre. The banker, mortuary and real estate company invested in this theatre because they didn't want to have to travel to St. Louis to see a show. They bring in some top notch entertainment, ie. Gold City, Ronnie Milsap, the Stattlers, the Oak Ridge Boys and many more. The Johnson family, (4 sisters and Dad) performed this year. They were on their way to Kentucky to a gospel singing convention. They stayed at the Garrison Campground for the week as guests of my sister and brother-in-law. The father played a guitar as well as sang with them. They had beautiful harmony. We bought 2 of their CD's We wish them well in their singing career. The second picture is Pastor Cooper of Straightway Baptist Church. He could really sing and play the guitar!! The theatre holds 700 people and it was full. My sister wants us to get on the agenda to sing next year. We just may do that!!
